Deep Purple In Rock est le quatrième album du groupe de hard rock britannique Deep Purple sorti en 1970.

Cet album, premier enregistré par la formation la plus connue du groupe (Mark II, avec Ian Gillan au chant et Roger Glover à la basse), pose les bases d'un nouveau genre musical que les critiques de l'époque appelleront hard rock ou heavy metal. Il contient plusieurs classiques du groupe, notamment "Speed King" et "Child in Time". C'est leur premier succès en Europe : il se classe en quatrième position des charts britanniques.

Black Night non présent sur le vinyl se classe quant à lui deuxième dans les charts britanniques ; il est néanmoins présent sur certaines éditions étrangères (comme l'édition mexicaine).

La pochette représente les visages des membres du groupe sculptés sur le mont Rushmore. Le producteur est Martin Birch.
