Il présente une émission de radio DJ Laz Morning Show à Miami sur WPOW 96.5 FM, pendant 22 ans jusqu'en avril 2012. Une nouvelle émission au même titre est lancée le 4 juillet 2012.

DJ Laz signe avec le label Pandisc et publie son premier album, DJ Laz featuring Mami El Negro, en 1991, classé 86e des R&B Albums[2] ; le single Mami El Negro débute au Top 100[3].

DJ Laz est surtout connu pour ses albums DJ Laz et Category 6, classés au magazine Billboard[3].

Il est également notable pour les simples Journey Into Bass, publié en 1994, et Move Shake Drop, publié en 2008, classé 56e au Billboard Hot 100[3].
